After reading the following quote, respond by giving your opinion on the validity of the statement. Then explain what gives you joy and why. 1 paragraph
“Beauty is whatever gives joy.” Edna St. Vincent Millay
Beauty is what ever makes a person and people around him happy. What gives me joy in life is to see everyone happy and safe, even if i have to give my life away for it. Semper fi to the ones who can not protect themselfes. Fight for our brothers we must.
I think this statement is very true. For example I when someone gets a good hit people say it was beautiful because it gave them joy. They say a girl it beautiful because it gives them joy to look at her.
Edna St. Vincent Millay once said "Beauty is whatever makes you happy." I believe this is true because everyone has different views on what is beautiful to them. But whatever they think is beautiful usually makes them feel some sort of happiness, which is what makes me believe this statement is very valid. Something I could say that gives me joy is when others are happy, whenever someone isn't happy it is just a horrible thing to see. I believe that a smile is the most beautiful thing anyone could ever see and when I see people smiling it gives me joy.
In my opinion i think this statement is very true. I think is statement is true because everyone in the world has a different view of beauty like what kovon said. For example when people get complimented on how they look or act it makes them happy. Also, people feel good about themselves when people respect them. Plus, what gives me joy is everyone treating each other with respect.
I think that the quote is very explanatory because it true. For example, if you're doing a test or project etc. you have to put a 100% on it to get a good grade and that grade is the beauty. Also, the way people are is beauty. For example, everyone have beauty in them. Every gir and guy are have beauty because everyone is different and that's good because if people were all the same the world would be boring ad that's not fun.
This statement is defenitly true. Beauty is how you want it not how others do. For example, people in school dress different because is how they want to look. If they want to dress with shots and a t shirt they can but if they want to wear long pants and long shirt they can. Its however they fell comfortable. This doesnt apply just for clothes it also applies to when you are drawing or coloring whatever it is; people have different points of view and ideas
The quote "beauty is whatever brings you joy" means that it's not about materialistic things it's about the times and events you have shared with the people you love. If beauty is your dog, and you enjoy him/her and they bring joy to your life then that's your own beauty. In my life it's my family and friends that bring happiness to my life because they're so supporting and loving. Everybody has a different view on beauty.
I feel this quote , "Beauty is whatever gives joy" interpretation is very true . To me , it means that beauty isn't about how a person looks , what a person says or what a person puts on its body . Its about the persons heart , mind and soul that's defines them as beautiful . Joy isn't something that can be taught , it can only be obtained . There is no set in stone definition of beauty because the joy you feel towards people , for them being who they really are , always changes into something even greater than before. Something that brings be absolute gratification is music . It brings bliss because I can be myself . There isn't any cover up , just me . Music infuses happiness into me and when I sing or play instruments or act , I cant help but have a smile on my face . That's what brings me the gift of joy.

So you can say that your girlfriend looks beautiful. Okay I get it, she looks good. Beauty is something someone has in their personality. The thing that gives me joy is just spending time with my family. I like to spend time with the people that love me. So my family is beautiful. They have beauty, because they bring me joy.
I agree with this statement 100%. I agree because everyone has there different opinions on what is beauty and what gives them joy. For example, I think beauty is that everyone in my family is happy and safe. That is what gives me joy everyday. But, not everyone thinks that cause they have their opinions. I like this quote.
