ReplyDeleteThe theme of "A Sound of Thunder" is the possible dangers of technology. We see this in the explanation Travis gives of the possible outcome of killing just one mouse in the past. Do you feel there can be dangers in technology? Yes I feel there could be dangers in technology. For example, say that someone isn’t having the best day in the world. But the end of the day he gets called a bad name. He flips out. Now he is mad as can be. He goes home, goes on twitter and puts something very mean and inappropriate. The person who called him a bad name saw it. But not only had that person seen it, everyone on that follows that person saw it. If he retweets it, then all the people who follow that person sees it. Now say that he feels bad and deletes it. Someone could of took a picture of it. Then the person has it to show another person. Now the next day that person goes to school and looks like the bad guy. So obviously I think the dangers of social media are very bad and dangerous. They can hurt people very badly. So don’t post anything someone else wouldn’t get insulted by. It’s just not right.

I think there can be many dangers in technology. For example, you can get bullied on it. Also if you are getting bullied at school they will bully you on social media such as Facebook, Instagram etc. Then a danger of social media is posting bad things. For example, if you say something about somebody they will definitely see it or hear about it even if you delete. They will see it because everybody sees what u post or say on it. Everybody will tell that person and it will come back to you. Next if you post a photo of somebody that they didn't want you to they will probably dislike you for awhile unless you guys are close friends. That person may say mean things to u and have their friends do the same. Then they might put a photo that you don't like up on social media. Then you guys argue to delete it and call it even which never works out well. this is why I think there are dangers in technology.

Do you feel that there are any gangers in technology? I do feel that there are dangers in technology. For example, bullying is a major problem and most of it is over the internet. People post rude comments about people over the internet on websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Once you post those comments, they we always be there no matter what you do. Also, texting is a major problem. Many people decide to text while they are driving which is extremely dangerous. Over hundreds of people have died because of texting and driving so that's another reason why technology is dangerous. As you can see, technology can be extremely dangerous in numerous ways but the biggest one is bullying. If you post anything post on the internet, you will be in some deep trouble.

I think there is a lot of dangers in technology. For example, adult men go on dating sites and say that they are a teenager. The adult man would say meet up somewhere and the young girl would agree. When they would meet up the young girl would end up being raped or murdered. Instagram is one of the popular apps and almost everyone uses that. That app allows you to take pictures and post it. An adult man can search a name up and see what you look like. Facebook puts your location, occupation, pictures, phone numbers, etc. On the show Predator it shows how grown men try to rape teenage boys off a dating website. The most dangerous piece of technology is the cell phone. The cell phone can cause a lot of deaths. The cell phone can cause breast cancer by putting a cell phone in your bra. The three main distractions are visual which takes your eyes off the road, manual which takes your hands off the steering wheel; and cognitive, which takes your thoughts of driving. So watch out what you put on the internet someone might be watching you.
